Mr. Greedy is a plump, pink character who loves food more than anything else. He eats all the time and in very large quantities. One day, his appetite leads him to a strange, enormous house. Inside, everything is huge — giant furniture, giant food — and Mr. Greedy is thrilled.

But he soon meets the giant who lives there, and the giant is not happy to find someone sneaking around his house. To teach Mr. Greedy a lesson, the giant feeds him a massive meal, far more than he can handle. Mr. Greedy gets so full and uncomfortable that he promises never to be greedy again.

The story ends with Mr. Greedy learning the value of moderation and eating just enough to be satisfied — not stuffed.

The author, late Roger Hargreaves created the Mr. Men series for his son, Adam, who currently oversees the estate and creates illustrations for new Mr. Men books.
