Mr. Noisy is a character who does everything very loudly — he walks loudly, talks loudly, and even eats loudly. His loud behavior annoys everyone in the quiet town of Wobbletown, where he lives. One day, after upsetting Mr. Bacon the butcher and Mrs. Crumb the baker with his booming voice and stomping feet, they cleverly teach him a lesson. They respond to him in whispers and soft tones, forcing Mr. Noisy to speak and move quietly in order to be heard and understood. Realizing how his noise disturbs others, Mr. Noisy learns to quiet down. The story ends with him becoming much more considerate — and a lot quieter.
The author, late Roger Hargreaves created the Mr. Men series for his son, Adam, who currently oversees the estate and creates illustrations for new Mr. Men books.
