Mr. Rush is a story about a very impatient and hurried character who tries to do everything as fast as possible. He rushes through every task—whether it is eating, working, or even speaking. Because of this, he often makes mistakes and nothing ever gets done properly.
Mr. Rush wants a job, but his rushing habits make him unsuitable for most roles. Every job he tries ends badly because he cannot slow down or pay attention. Eventually, he lands a job as a postman, which turns out to be perfect for him—because being quick is exactly what the job needs.
The story teaches the lesson that while rushing through life can cause problems, sometimes the right role can turn a weakness into a strength.
The author, late Roger Hargreaves created the Mr. Men series for his son, Adam, who currently oversees the estate and creates illustrations for new Mr. Men books.
